It doesn't matter what you think!
Friday, 29 January 2010

It’s been a long, long time since I last posted, and I would say that the past few weeks was physically demanding and extremely, extremely, exhausting. Didn’t have time to turn on the pc to play games, it’s just study study study.

Let’s begin with Breakthru Camp!

It started out with a tiring wednesday afternoon, I am feeling so tired and thought that this camp would be another of those boring and a-huge-waste-of-time kind of camp. Go school at 7, reach home at 9 plus at night, kind of ridiculous to you, doesn’t it? Well, I was totally proved WRONG and this camp is a fantastic, motivational and inspiring camp. Had lots of games, motivational lectures and lots and lots of other activities. Met new peeps in PURPLE! Woots! Learnt the tik tok dance during the camp, and it’s really really fun. Leant a lot through this camp. Hope that I make a breakthru

Anyway, we had a flash mob a few days later after the camp, i think it’s the wednesday after the camp. Did the tik tok dance in front of unsuspecting secondary 1,2 and 3s. Had a lot of fun, was (kind of) a great success. Had PURPLE! outing on fri at mind’s cafe. 1 phrase(of not more than 7 words) to describe: “loud, noisy, super-fun and crazy!”

Next up, common tests…. Would rather not talk about it…

Till next time..

Hey people! Hope you’ve enjoyed your day. I know I did!

Just received my O Level Chinese Results a few hours ago (at 5.30pm) and I can’t stop saying “YES!” after seeing my results of an A2. Best chinese results so far in my secondary school life. For those who got a B3, don’t be disappointed. 失败是成功之母(don’t know if i wrote that correctly). Life is full of obstacles, we cannot just stop because one of them brings us down, instead we must overcome it and complete the obstacle.

Honestly speaking i have mixed feelings right now. Am happy coz I got an A2 for chinese, meaning not only a distinction but also being able to continue with higher chinese. Am disappointed because I didn’t get an A1 for Chinese, which was my goal (even though my chinese standards sucks, but I DO have to set high expectations for myself in order to excel). When I saw so many peepos got A1, I was already feeling quite down because I have once again showed that my standard is still slightly lower than others. But oh well, what’s over is over. Have to work harder now. (Easy to say, but hard to do)

Had chem qualifying test today. Was quite easy, and some questions came from 10 Year Series (again) and thankfully, I studied those questions during my revisions for EOY.

Had 6.7 2006 gathering yesterday. And watched a movie known as Cirque de Freak, which was quite good, might post a review soon.

Alright and that was the week for me. At least I survived one week of school… :P

2009 has come to a close and 2010 is a new chapter for you and me. 2009, in my opinion, is one of the years where I seriously had experienced, gone through and done a lot of stuff, events and other new things. From CMPS to planning camps, from getting used to wearing long pants to having good old-fashioned fun in school is just one of the many, many things that I have done throughout the year.

Let me give you a brief run-through of the stuff that I did this last year:

  1. Getting used to long pants
  2. Going for NPAP training
  3. NCO Training Camp (AGM included)
  4. Tons of NP courses
  5. June Camp
  6. December Camp
  7. Kayaking Course
  8. STC
  9. YoReCa Camp!
  10. Taman Negara
  11. H1N1 period that effectively closed down school for a week
  12. CMPS
  13. Planning Camps
  14. Meeting lots and lots of new people
  15. Rushing on last minute homework

A great year it has been, honestly, although there are indeed some hiccups and breakdowns for me. But other than that, I would rate 2009 a 8 out of 10.

There are many things that I feel that I need to change in order to get better. Obviously I have been exploding in anger quite often this year, and I am not afraid to admit it. I do get pissed off at the slightest things and when I blow my top, I really, and literally, pull no punches. So my attitude is one thing I gotta change.

Next, my addiction to the computer has seriously got to change. My obsession with facebook and the countless hours I spent on youtube, online games site and endless wikipedia-ing has always given me little time to do my work. So that is another thing that I have to change.

Also, I would like to thank everyone, that includes my friends, squad-mates, family members and schoolmates for the countless amount of support, guidance and encouragement that you have given me. A big big BIG thank you to you!

Had a great and successful camp which ended on Wednesday. Big thanks to camp comm. members Gerin and Timothy! Great job and well done! Although I must say the 2 water bombs you threw at me kind of hurt since you used so much force that my whole body tilted to the left and I inadvertently slammed my head on that metal stand (or whatever you call it) of that portable basketball hoop thing. Don’t worry, it hurts no more

And to all: Happy new year everyone! Hope you enjoy your weekend and 2010 as well. To schoolmates, see you on Monday!

Happy New Year to all!
